Freight trains rumble past

on the hour

horns like horses whinny

blow out over Tennesse

irons shudder

clenched undercarriage

running

striking out

the chuck chuck heartbeat

moving like buffalo

slow

lowing

bleating like lambs

and she waits like a mother

the homecoming

her arms are open

fires burning

kettle on

each where they belong

each one loved to death

the puffed Tennesse sky

lays over them like a lover

ADVANCE WARNING

Advance warning to Louisville, Kentucky, me and Boo George are going to be with you for St. Patricks day, we are both Irish and like drinking whiskey. We are off to the glorious land of greasy fried chicken fingers to shoot for Twin. I've heard the fry their turkeys at christmas time. I'm totally into that. For the next week it's just me, boo, a pick up truck and the open road.

The results of this battered heart attack of an adventure will be in Issue two of Twin.

DARRYL FOR DAZED

A shoot I styled for this months Dazed and Confused with mega photographer and one of my best buddies Linda Brownlee. We got to go up on the train to Manchester Picadilly in the big snow and hang out with Darryl and his gorgeous family for the day. It was such a cool experience, they were so welcoming and they had a massive tele, seriously people on it were bigger than life size it was amazing. His dad made us a half foot high pile of hot buttered toast for lunch and we had shortbread and huge mugs of sweet tea all day. Darryl is a beautiful kid, looks tough as nails but is gentle as a lamb underneath. This gets filed under one of the most inspiring shoots I've ever done.

MISUNDERSTOOD

Well I almost don't quite know what to say about lil wayne, I was doing a search for teef grills because of Katie Eary's ace show during London fashion week and I found lil wayne and his teeth which are paved with real diamonds. I was totally into the plaster on his face too cos it reminded me of Supreme stickers so i did more picture research and his tattoos are out of control. He has an 'I' between his eyes and then 'fear' and 'god' on each eyelid. WOW. There are tear drops, I think maybe for friends in heaven and a smiley face on the inside of his lower lip, misunderstood inscribed on his temple is fairly significant i would say and thats not even the tip of the iceberg that's just his face.

It's just the cacophony of shit thats going on here, the lip piercing, the tats, the plaster, the jewellery, the dreadlocks, the diamond teef, the raybans, the smoking, the smoking and drinking at the same time. He's like a bull in a china shop in his own body. It kinda blows my mind.

Check out her totally rad sci fi streetwear for the boys, i'm not even too sure what's going on here but it's super fresh and new and cool as fuck. The models all wore teef grills and my buddy James Pecis hand dyed all the coloured fringes underneath their baseball caps.
